Luke Johnston
Pastor
Pastor Luke’s journey to ministry began in the world of music. For six years, he led the Christian rock band Don’t Know Dorothy before transitioning into production and audio work. But God had bigger plans, calling Luke into full-time ministry within the church. Over the years, he has served as a worship pastor, youth leader, and associate pastor, all leading him to his current role at GlenHaven.
Luke is passionate about shepherding God’s people, fostering deep theological discipleship, and leading the church toward renewal. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from MidAmerica Nazarene University, a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and completed the Master Apprenticeship Program through Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Luke also earned his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) from Knox Theological Seminary with an emphasis in church replanting and revitalization.
Beyond ministry, Luke loves spending time with his wife, Jamie, and their three daughters—Norah, Emmi Rose, and Lucy. You might find him hiking, playing frisbee, reading (especially the Puritans or C.S. Lewis), cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, or enjoying a day at the park with his girls.
Luke’s greatest joy is seeing lives transformed by the gospel and walking alongside others as they grow in their faith.
